Justice Minister announces working group to tackle issues in provincial courts
It’s been an issue of growing concern in the legal system for the past week as provincial courts have adjourned certain cases indefinitely. Crown asks for 18-year prison sentence for man convicted of attempted murder
The prosecution is asking a judge to give a Torbay man a jail sentence of up to 18 years for trying to kill one of his friends. But the defence wants a shorter sentence for David Reardon, partly due to the hardships he said he’s endured at Her Majesty’s Penitentiary. NTV’s Rosie Mullaley reports.
