The St. John’s Regional Fire Department is mourning the loss of one of their own.

Firefighter Craig Quigley was a devoted, courageous, and kind soul who made everyone around him feel valued and supported, says the fire department. Officials say he served the community with pride and professionalism and will be deeply missed by all within the St. John’s Regional Fire Department.

Quigley passed away after a courageous battle with a presumptive cancer, the SJRFD says it’s a reminder of the risks and sacrifices faced by those who dedicate their lives to protecting others.
