Regiment sweep final 2025 home series Vs. Islanders, annual Teddy Toss takes place
he Newfoundland Regiment completed the series sweep over the Charlottetown Islanders courtesy of a 2-1 shootout win on Monday night at Mary Brown’s Centre.
Liam Arsenault opened the scoring on Sunday evening in a 5-2 win just two minutes into the game.
After Charlottetown snatched the lead in the second with a pair of goals five minutes apart, Noah Laberge got things back to level with 6:31 left in the middle frame to make it a 2-2 game with 20 minutes to play.
Newfoundland riddled off three unanswered in the third period thanks to an early breakaway goal from Laberge, a powerplay marker from Madden Marmulak and a shorthanded empty netter from Dawson Sharkey to seal a big 5-2 victory. Chase Anderson made 14 stops in the win, his second in as many starts.
The annual Teddy Toss took place on Monday evening, where hundreds of fans tossed new stuffed animals onto the ice. All stuffed animals will be collected and donated to children across the province, bringing comfort and joy to children in need this holiday season.
