The FFAW had planned to hold a demonstration at the Confederation Building in St. John’s this morning to protest the price of crab.
Instead, crab harvesters will head out on the water.
Premier Andrew Furey met with the leadership of the FFAW and the Association of Seafood Producers on Sunday and an agreement between the FFAW and the ASP was reached.
Police agencies will continue to monitor the situation closely to protect the safety of all those involved.
