Feedback Process

June 1, 2023

The Newfoundland Broadcasting Company (NTV and OZFM) is committed to ensuring effective feedback mechanisms and promoting accessibility. To enhance this process, we will establish and publish on our website a comprehensive procedure for receiving and addressing feedback concerning the implementation of our accessibility plan, regardless of whether it is submitted anonymously or with contact information.

Our approach includes the following:

  1. Promptly acknowledging receipt of feedback when individuals provide their name or contact information.
  2. Welcoming feedback through various communication platforms utilized to engage with the public, such as online forms, email, phone and fax.
  3. Adhering to the latest iteration of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Level AA to ensure our digital presence is accessible to all.
  4. Offering the option to access the feedback process in alternative formats upon request, accommodating diverse needs and preferences.

Additionally, the Newfoundland Broadcasting Company recognizes the importance of consulting individuals with disabilities to gain valuable insights and firsthand experiences regarding proposed accessibility enhancements. As part of this commitment, we will be coordinating and hosting a dedicated consultation session with a focus on persons with disabilities. This session will provide an opportunity for open dialogue and constructive feedback. Furthermore, we are organizing an online focus group, which will include a diverse group of twenty-five or more individuals with various disabilities. To ensure inclusivity, accessibility supports such as American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation and Closed Captioning will be provided during this event.
