The 2024 East Coast Music Award nominations were announced on Tuesday, with an impressive showing from this province. 52 Newfoundland and Labrador artists/industry professionals are up for awards. There were fewer categories this year, and a new “Fusion Recording of the Year” category added. Local talent is in the running for 28 of the 40 awards, and dominate the Classical, Country, Indigenous, and Global Recording of the Year categories. Here’s a full list of nominees from the East Coast Music Association and MusicNL:

MusicNL is pleased with the showing of Newfoundland and Labrador talent at this year’s East Coast Music Awards (EMCA). With 52 nominees this year, MusicNL members are well represented when compared to our counterparts in the Atlantic Region. With representation in 28 different categories, leading the nominees with 6 is Tim Baker.
