A Mount Pearl man has been arrested for choking his partner. Yesterday afternoon, RNC responded to a home and spoke to witnesses who said a man assaulted a woman. Officers spoke to the couple and the victim confirmed the assault. The 46-year old man was arrested for assault by choking and held for court.

The annual Shave for the Brave supporting young adults battling cancer took place at the Avalon Mall this weekend. NTV’s own Bailey Howard had 10 inches of her hair cut off in memory of her mom, who passed away from breast cancer when Bailey was 11 years old.

ATVs will be allowed to operate on some Corner Brook roads once again on May 1. The following roads are designated as ATV routes in the city: Due to the landslide and uphill safety concerns the trail between Stan Dawe and Confederation Drive is off-limits until engineers advise it is safe to do so.
