Just before noon on Thursday, the RNC responded to a report of property damage in progress at a residence in the downtown area of St. John’s.

When officers arrived the suspect had already left the area.

A short time later, another complaint of fraud was received from a downtown St. John’s establishment.

Officers determined both incidents were linked and a 42-year-old female. At 3:00 p.m., officers located the female in the west end of St. John’s.

During the arrest, the female resisted and assaulted the officers. She was taken into custody and is charged with property damage, resisting arrest, assaulting a police officer, uttering threats, fraud, and breach of a release order.

The accused was held for court. There are no injuries as a result of the incident.
