Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services is advising the public that beginning tomorrow, Monday, March 4, residents of communities served by the Winterton ambulance service are directed to call 9-1-1 for an ambulance in a medical emergency.

This is part of plans to continue to work with communities to promote the use of 9-1-1 for emergencies and move away from using local phone numbers to access emergency ambulance services.
