Residents clean up after Avalon gets first blizzard of 2025

The Avalon Peninsula woke up to over 30 centimetres of the snow this morning after the first blizzard of the year hit Sunday night into Monday morning. 

The capital city and surrounding areas were shut down for the day as crews worked around the clock to clean up the mess.

As NTV’s Becky Daley tells us – high winds turned off several residents electricity.
