The Qalipu Mi’kmaq Band Council Election is underway.

Nominations closed last Wednesday.

The call for nominations was open for a week from September 23 and closed on October 2. Three people are running for the position of Chief, Byron Alexander, Jennifer Brake, and Laura White.

Voting takes place electronically from October 18 at noon to October 25 at 8:00 pm.
