Police find no evidence of foul play in Port aux Basques sudden death

Police have determined there was no foul play in a sudden death in Port aux Basques last month.

RCMP began investigating after a body was found Oct. 22 in a residential area of Port aux Basques. No evidence of foul play was found after what they called a “thorough investigation,” but the investigation continues while officers wait for the findings of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Port Aux Basques deals with more flooding after heavy weekend rainfall

While still dealing with the devastation from Hurricane Fiona, the town of Port Aux Basques was hit hard once again this weekend with heavy rain, which caused flooding in some areas of town. NTV’s Beth Penney has the details.
