Federal Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre was in the province this weekend for the first time since winning the leadership. He promised to axe the carbon tax and protect hunters from Bill C-21.
The province’s only Conservative MP says he’s disappointed with other MP’s from the province who he believes aren’t listening to the people of the province when it comes to dealing with inflation. NTV’s Colleen Lewis has more.
The federal government will impose the carbon tax on the province next July.
It means 8 months from now, Newfoundlanders and Labradorians can expect to pay more on every litre of home heating fuel. NTV’s Ben Cleary reports.
