The capelin fishery is going ahead after the latest impasse was broken this weekend.Ā
Last week, the FFAW announced harvesters would not fish at the price chosen by the price-setting panel.Ā But now, several processing companies have come together and agreed to pay a higher price.Ā
Five companies have signed on to pay thirty cents per pound for ‘Grade A’ capelin.
