Skills Canada Newfoundland and Labrador will be in Stephenville this week for educational activities including mentoring sessions and Try-A-Trade Demonstrations.

The goal of the Skilled Futures program is to offer junior high and high school aged students across the province the opportunity to engage in interactive skilled trade and technology workshops and virtual events.

Today there will be a hands-on Try-A-Trade Demonstrations in the Heavy Equipment and Transportation Technology areas in the morning, with a mentoring session in the afternoon with tradespeople who are currently working in a trade.

On Wednesday there will be demonstrations in Health Sciences, Digital, and Culinary Arts in the morning, with a mentoring sessions in the afternoon with mentors who are currently working in these related areas.
