Salmon anglers on the island were able to wet their lines for the first time this year on Thursday. They expect to see a slight increase in the number of fish returning to spawning grounds this summer.

But one conservation group says most salmon rivers are still witnessing lower-than-acceptable numbers.  NTVs Don Bradshaw has more.
