On Tuesday afternoon the RNC were called to a business in the downtown area of St John’s, to a report of a theft in progress.

Police spoke to the complainant and witnesses who advised the male had left the business on foot with stolen merchandise.

Officers located the 30-year-old suspect nearby. The accused was arrested and charged with theft, breach of probation and breach of release order.

He was held to appear in court this morning.
