Over the last couple of weeks, the number of influenza cases has increased in the province.

There were 140 new cases of influenza, 32 hospitalizations, four critical care admissions, and two deaths.

Of all influenza cases reported so far this season, nearly 98 per cent have been influenza A and about two per cent have been influenza B.

Influenza activity is near expected levels for this time of the year across Canada.
