The RNC has charged a man with sexual assault in St. John’s.

Just after 3 a.m. today, police responded to a report of an assault that had just occurred at a hotel in downtown St. John’s. Responding officers located a woman requiring medical support.

Shortly after noon, a 29-year-old man from the United States was arrested. The accused has been charged with sexual assault and is being held in custody to appear in provincial court.
