A 38-year-old male is in custody after stopping for gas in a stolen vehicle in St. John’s overnight.

While on patrol in the center city area, officers noticed the stolen vehicle drive up to the gas pumps at a service station.

Officers quickly contained the vehicle and arrested the male driver.

The man faces charges of possession of property obtained by crime, driving while prohibited, breach of probation and breach of a release order.
