Inflation rate up from June

On Tuesday, Statistics Canada released the latest inflation numbers.

In July, inflation rose by 3.3 per cent, thats an increase from June when the rate was 2.8 per cent.

Gasoline prices were cited as the primary driver of the inflation last month.

The cost of groceries increased by 8.5 per cent, down slightly from the 9.1 per cent increase in June.
