Brad Gushue, Mark Nichols first Uber passengers in N.L.

Uber has officially launched ridesharing in Newfoundland and Labrador, the province marked the occasion with the official launch in Quidi Vidi Battery.

Brad Gushue and Mark Nichols pulled up to Tuesday mornings event as the first Uber passengers in the province. Uber announced they already have a partnership underway with the St. John’s International Airport.

Premier Andrew Furey, Minister of Digital Government and Service NL Sarah Stoodley, as well as Uber representatives joined in celebration this morning, to announce that Uber is available for use by residents, businesses and visitors to the province, just in time for tourism season.
