The Town of Bay Roberts has implemented an open burn ban effective immediately in areas covered by Bay Roberts Fire Rescue.

This includes all wood-burning appliances, including fire pits. Gas barbecues and pits are permitted.

This is due to the number of resources from neighbouring communities involved in combating several area forest fires.
