This morning, an area of low pressure continues to spin in the North Atlantic. The low is far enough away that its influence isn’t extreme, but it is close enough that showers will still be ongoing for much of the Province, except extreme western Labrador. The low is also close enough to make it breezy for the Province on westerly winds.
While the rain and light showers will be fairly constant on the coast of Labrador, areas to the west and the Island will see more in the way of scattered showers. When the showers aren’t on the go, expect a mix of sun and cloud. The showers will be most numerous on the island and near the West Coast. The images on Futurecast (below) shows that rather well. You can click each one to expand.
Temperatures today will be where they have been for the last few days, which will be lower teens on the Island and single digits in most of Labrador. The wind will make it feel even cooler. Monday will be similar, temperature-wise for location but the wind will be less and the showers will have ended. Monday will be the best day of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend!
The first significant snowfall of the season is on the way for Labrador Tuesday into Wednesday. I’ll have more updates on this tomorrow.
Have a great weekend!
