A 55-year-old man has been arrested after a traffic stop in St. John’s on Wednesday evening.

Upon stopping the vehicle, officers discovered the male had over $30,000 in outstanding fines, a suspended driver’s license and a warrant for his arrest.

The man was taken to the lockup and held to appear in Provincial Court. He was also ticketed and his vehicle was impounded.
