The obstetrics unit at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor will soon get an upgrade.

The unit will be relocated to the same floor as the operating room. It will include also include private birthing rooms for expectant mothers.

A contract valued at $6.3 million was awarded to Brooks Construction to complete the project.
