

Police are investigating a hit and run collision involving a pedestrian that occurred near the Trinity Conception Square on Dec. 8. At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Friday, police received the report of the collision. Officers learned that a youth was struck while crossing Goff Avenue by a vehicle that had stopped to permit a group of youths to cross the roadway. Following the collision, the vehicle fled from the scene without checking on the condition of the youth, who was fortunately uninjured.
The vehicle, a black car, was being operated by a man in his forties who was wearing a high-visibility orange and yellow jacket. The investigation is continuing.
