UPDATE: The police response and investigation has determined the report of a weapons offence to be unfounded. Officers are now departing the area.

EALIER: The RNC are responding to a reported weapons offence on Jenmar Crescent in St. John’s.

Those in the area bordered by Ruby Line, Sprucedale Drive, Serpentine Street and Green Acre Drive are asked to shelter in place.

Motorists should avoid the area and obey police directions.
