Temporary solution in place for Bonavista water issue, residents still urged to conserve
Town staff have been working continuously to address the anchor ice issue at the Bonavista water intake. We are pleased to report that a solution is now in place.
What’s been done?
A temporary pump has been installed and is actively pumping water into our system, helping to stabilize our supply. This measure should prevent the loss of water to the community. As a result residents may see some discolouration in the water.
However, water conservation is still important. While this temporary setup provides relief, we ask all residents to be mindful of water conservation until the situation is fully resolved.
It is important for residents to know that the issue is actively being managed, and staff will continue to monitor conditions closely. Any further updates will be provided as soon as they are available.
