Severe weather causes additional damage to MSC Baltic III
Severe weather is once again affecting the site of the grounded MSC Baltic III. Recent assessments of the vessel identified additional structural damage on both sides.

The crack on the port side has extended toward the stern, while buckling on the starboard side has progressed forward.
Following that severe weather, a significant amount of debris was found along the shoreline, which the Canadian Coast Guard says is an expected outcome after major weather events. Shoreline surveys and a drone overflight were completed, and no oil pollution was observed.
Heavy ice accumulation was also observed on the vessel. Debris has been removed.
