Search for a missing plane flying from Labrador to Greenland ends in tragedy
A Cessna 182-t Skylane aircraft that went missing over the weekend between Happy Valley-Goose Bay and Greenland has been located.
The Danish air navigation company, Naviair, confirmed earlier today the crash site has been located, with unfortunately no survivors. According to the Danish company, the crash site is difficult to access, making it challenging for authorities to reach. The aircraft left Goose Bay Airport on Saturday and went missing during a ferry delivery flight over the mountain terrain near Nuuk, Greenland’s capital city.
They did not confirm how many people were on board the plane, but they did say a next of kin have been notified. The case is now handed over to police for further investigation.
