Police respond to theft in progress
Before the supper hour on Saturday, members of RNC Operational Patrol Services received a complaint of a theft in progress from a business on Stavanger Drive, in St. John’s. When members arrived on scene, the male suspect was just exiting the store and still had the stolen merchandise on him. He was immediately placed under arrest for theft. Further checks revealed that he was on a Release Order, as well as a Probation Order and there was a warrant out for his arrest. As a result, the 34 year old man was held for court.
