Police attended an unknown trouble call at a residence in Mount Pearl just before 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

The female caller sustained a minor injury. Police determined that a domestic assault had taken place.

The accused had left prior to police arrival and had travelled into RCMP jurisdiction. Police located and arrested the accused and charged him with assault.

The accused was taken to the city lock-up and held for an appearance this morning.
