During this year’s annual Purple Ribbon Campaign and flag-raising ceremony, 11 families shared personal details of their loved ones who lost their lives due to gender-based violence.

The Purple Ribbon ceremony included memorial banners of women and girls connected to this province whose lives were tragically taken as the result of gender-based violence.

The memorial banners are of no cost to families and will become part of the Provincial Government’s annual Purple Ribbon ceremony going forward.
