A 76-year-old man was arrested for break and enter at a residence in Mount Pearl early Sunday afternoon.

Shortly after 12:30 p.m. yesterday police responded to an assault complaint at a home in Mount Pearl. Officers could see physical damage inside the residence. Police say the suspect and victim were known to each other.

The 76-year-old male was arrested for break and enter, and assault. He was held for court.
