On Wednesday evening RNC officers conducted a traffic stop on New Pennywell Road in St. John’s and determined the 51-year-old male driver owed in excess of $18,000.00 in fines.

Additionally, the accused was charged with failure to have a valid insurance policy in place, driving while suspended, operating a vehicle with expired registration and failure to notify the register of transfer of ownership.

Police impounded the vehicle.
