Corner Brook collision leads to impaired driving charge

On Monday evening the RNC responded to the area of Wheelers Road in Corner Brook after receiving a report of a two-vehicle accident where a vehicle had struck a parked vehicle.

On arrival, officers located the driver of the vehicle who showed signs of alcohol impairment.

The 19-year-old driver was treated by paramedics and was arrested and brought back to RNC Headquarters to provide a breath sample. The male subsequently failed and was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

He was released to appear in court at a later date.
