Expo Labrador has been cancelled as the dispute between the Innu Nation and the provincial government continues. The expo was scheduled to run until Thursday, but ongoing protests in Happy Valley-Goose Bay prompted organizers of the economic conference to cancel the event outright. NTV’s Ben Cleary reports.

A vehicle took out a light pole in Mount Pearl overnight on Commonwealth Avenue between Sunrise Avenue and Edinburgh Drive. The occupants of the vehicle fled the scene prior to police arrival. As a result, there are 1,652 customers in parts of Mount Pearl without power. Newfoundland Power expected the power to be restored by 6:30 a.m.
