By-election day in Fogo Island-Cape Freels

Today is voting day in the district of Fogo Island-Cape Freels.

The polls will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

There are 14 different voting locations:

Anglican Church Hall (Fogo Island Centre)

Community Centre (Cape Freels, Deep Bay, Port Albert)

Community Hall (Carmanville, Noggin Cove, Stag Harbour)

Fire Hall (Aspen Cove, Centreville, Deadman’s Bay, Greenspond, Main Point, Musgrave Harbour, Stoneville, Wings Point)

Lion’s Club (Fogo, Trinity)

Recreation Centre (Carmanville, Horwood)

Salvation Army YP Hall (Hare Bay)

St. John the Baptist Hall (Wareham)

St. Luke’s Parish Hall (Newton)

St. Patrick’s Parish Club (Tilting)

SUF Hall (Badger’s Quay)

Town Council Office (Indian Bay)

Town Hall (Dover, Change Islands)

United Church Hall (Frederickton, George’s Point, Lumsden, Wesleyville)

The district was left vacant after Derrick Bragg passed away in January.

Three candidates are running. Dana Blackmore is running for the Liberals. Jim McKenna is running under the Progressive Conservative banner and Jim Gill is representing the New Democratic Party.
