Some processors agree to pay more to start capelin fishery

The capelin fishery is going ahead after the latest impasse was broken this weekend. 

Last week, the FFAW announced harvesters would not fish at the price chosen by the price-setting panel.  But now, several processing companies have come together and agreed to pay a higher price. 

Five companies have signed on to pay thirty cents per pound for ‘Grade A’ capelin.
