The Town of Fogo Island has been without a bank since 2022, but that might be changing later this year.

The town has announced that Atlantic Edge Credit Union is finalizing plans to offer banking services to island residents, which will include a branch opening later this year.

Atlantic Edge Credit Union and The Town of Fogo Island will be hosting a joint public meeting in early June to share more information with residents and local businesses.
