Harbour Grace RCMP responds to fire at residence in Carbonear
Harbour Grace RCMP responded to a fire that caused extensive damage to an unoccupied residence in Carbonear early Wednesday morning. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
Just before 1:00 a.m. Jan. 7, police responded to a report of a fire at a vacant residence on Gilmour Place. The Carbonear Fire Department extinguished the fire, and no injuries were reported, though the damage to the home was extensive.
The Newfoundland and Labrador Fire Commissioner’s Office was engaged and a fire investigator is expected to attend the scene today. The investigation into the cause of the fire is continuing at this time.
Anyone with surveillance or dash camera footage recorded during the early morning hours Wednesday in the area of Gilmour Place, Carbonear, or anyone with information about this fire is asked to contact Harbour Grace RCMP at 709-596-5014.
