On Monday evening the RNC were called to a residence in the east end of St. John’s, to a report of an assault in progress.

Officers spoke to the witnesses who indicated the male suspect had left the area on foot.

The 27-year-old male was located nearby and arrested on outstanding arrest warrants.

The male was not cooperative with officers and was additionally charged with resisting arrest. The accused will appear in court this morning.
