It’s a relatively calm day province wide, with pockets of showers or snow depending on where you’re located. A risk of freezing rain will set in later this afternoon for St. John’s and vicinity. Upwards of 10 centimetres of snow is possible for St. Anthony and vicinity starting tonight, with a risk of frostbite in the area. Temperatures have dropped significantly in parts of Labrador, with a risk of frostbite continuing today. Most areas on the island will see flurries to start your day tomorrow.

St. John’s and vicinity:

  • Today: Cloudy. Snow changing to freezing rain or rain. High plus 1. Wind chill minus 8.
  • Tonight: Periods of drizzle changing to periods of snow (2 cm). Risk of freezing drizzle. Low minus 4.
  • Tomorrow: Flurries ending in the morning then a mix of sun and cloud. Temperatures dropping to minus 11.

Bonavista and vicinity:

  • Today: Mix of sun and cloud. Chance of flurries or drizzle. High plus 2. Wind chill minus 9.
  • Tonight: Rain showers changing to periods of snow (2 cm). Low minus 6.
