Some rain moves across Newfoundland late Friday, humidity settles in

Island split in half in terms of Friday’s rain
The island as a whole will see increasing cloud Friday with some enjoyable sunny breaks. Into the afternoon, the west and east side experience different days.
On the east, the sunny breaks and low 20’s continue, while rain looks to enter via Port aux Basques. That rain spends the afternoon moving up the coastline and head into central near the supper hour before exiting out through the Kittiwake Coast and Bonavista Peninsula late in the evening and overnight. Clarenville looks pick up
The totals are minimal, averaging around 5 mm, with the potential to see closer to 10 mm in Port aux Basque which acts as an anchor point for the small system.



Newfoundland and Labrador’s daytime highs for Friday



Cloud covers Labrador through Friday
Cloud is the sentiment of the day for Labrador, with moments of light rain being passed around.
Again, a cooler day is ahead – gone are the 30 degree daytime highs. For Labrador West, a chance of light rain hits in the early afternoon and again in the evening.
