Winter storm forces widespread closures; more snow expected this evening
The latest round of snow this winter has arrived and is causing major disruptions. Schools from St. John’s to Gander are closed all day, garbage collection has been postponed for many, and a large number of public and private facilities are expected to remain closed.
Plows are hard at work, but with the snow falling at such a high rate and visibility low, roads are extremely dangerous.
