Rainfall Warning in effect for Bay St. George until this evening
THIS WARNING HAS BEEN ENDED
Heavy rain has settled in over the Bay St. George area and amounts are high enough that the ECCC NL Weather Office in Gander has issued a Rainfall Warning for the area.
According to the alert, up to 60 mm of rain is possible today, along with rainfall rates as high as 20 mm per hour. There is the potential for elevated river levels and localized flooding. Road washouts are possible near rivers, creeks, and culverts.
Never cross a flooded roadway.
