Parts of Newfoundland breaks into sun while others continue Wednesday with more rain
Wednesday starts under the clouds for pretty well all of Newfoundland. It divides come the afternoon, however, with extra rain on the west and lifting cloud further east.

The Burin Peninsula see’s some morning rain left over from the overnight. While light and brief rain passes over the western side of the Avalon, it looks to tapper off before falling over the Metro Region.
Once we roll into the afternoon, much like Tuesday, the clouds part and the sun shines. This time, opening up as far as Central before the rain returns to that region shortly after the supper hours.

Meanwhile, the rain starts light on the western side of Newfoundland Wednesday.
There are multiple moments of that rain increasing in it’s rainfall rate. Specifically late morning and early evening before passing through Central, into the Baie Verte Peninsula and moving up the Northern Peninsula late Wednesday evening into the overnight.
The anticipated totals are shown below. The wind also looks to increase through this region, peaking at gusts of 60-80 km/h from the southwest coast into Corner Brook.
