Plenty of sun and warmth up for grabs across Newfoundland and Labrador Tuesday

Weather

Ryan Harding, NTV Weather Centre

It’s all about the sun Tuesday across Newfoundland and Labrador. At times, on the island, there won’t be a cloud to be found!

Tuesday morning starts clear for all, with a bit of wind just to be fussy. The wind sits at a manageable 20-40 km/h gust for all from the south west. This means the south-facing side of Newfoundland will see the low end of the daytime highs and some fog to burn off from the overnight.

West Coast, parts of the South Coast and Central Newfoundland does move into the mix of sun and cloud as the afternoon rolls into the early evening.

Shifting cloud cover around Labrador Tuesday

It’s a morning of sun and cloud for Labrador West Tuesday, while the rest of Labrador starts the day in the cloud.

As Tuesday plays on, those conditions swap – clouding over the west and breaking wide open from Happy Valley-Goose Bay to the coastline.

Labrador City is likely to see some light rain pass mid-afternoon, resulting in just a few millimetres.

That rain takes until the overnight hours to reach the North Coast.
