Sun shines while temperatures rise across Newfoundland Wednesday
We’ve got a warm one ahead for most of Newfoundland Wednesday. A high-pressure system reminds over the island, keeping clouds clear and allowing the sun to warm the land.

The temperatures above can almost all have three degrees added on to them to reflect the humidex ‘feels-like’ temperature. Meanwhile, for the most part, Newfoundland as a whole will see a UV index of right out of ten, described by Environment Canada as ‘very high’.

There is some wind to help cool things island-wide. However it will be more so felt in south-facing communities and on the western side of the Northern Peninsula as wind picks up to gusts over the 50 km/h mark.

Labrador West anticipating limited rain Wednesday
There is three opportunities for Labrador West to pick up some minimal rain. Morning, afternoon and again in the night. That rain does build into Thursday, moving west to east across The Big Land.
Central Labrador looks to remain hot Wednesday, issuing a heat warning for Churchill Falls, Happy Valley-Goose Bay and Makkovik.
